Is It hard to get Term Life Smokers Insurance?

Financial cost of smoking is the negative impact it can have on term life smokers insurance. Smokers more than other clients will be more likely to suffer serious illness or die as a result of the habit, and so term life smokers insurance companies know there is a higher standard of risk involved when offering them term life insurance.

Smokers pay rates that are twice or more that of non-smokers on term life insurance. It’s no longer debatable that smoking is the leading cause of cancer and other deadly diseases. If smoking leads to certain health conditions, then it makes a person a high health insurance risk and that attracts higher rates.

The fact that you smoke can be determined by a urine test that measures nicotine levels. Smoking cigars and pipes and chewing tobacco don’t rule you out, either. If you want quality coverage, be sure to tell the truth on your application. Otherwise, there’s a good chance that no benefits will paid from your term life smokers insurance policy if you die.
